Storm Barra kicking a good one out there now!
Not over yet....bit of a none drama today Barra really, couple of mm of rain and some blustery winds.
Really feel for those like yourself in that position. You take it for granted so much until it’s gone.Wind has kept me up all night and I don’t mean flatulence….still no electric on, it’s been nearly 2 weeks of torture
Two weeks ! FfsWind has kept me up all night and I don’t mean flatulence….still no electric on, it’s been nearly 2 weeks of torture
It's nice to get in tractor when power off! Heater on, radio. Phone charging. Lights.I will be glad to see day light,it’s been a bloody long night listening to the wind literally screaming through the yard,I think it’s definitely stronger than last weeks storm but blowing a different direction so hopefully damage will be minimal
Unfortunately our electric has blown down past the meter so it’s our responsibility…we have now decided to bury the cables deep underground Instead of being suspended in the air, we have bought the cable and dug it in and now the electrician is coming to connect it up but what with the very short days and a lot of stock feeding it’s been a slow job. Hopefully we will be back with electric this week but it certainly makes you appreciate how lucky we are to live with such luxuries as warm water and instant electricTwo weeks ! Ffs
Never a truer word .....rough last night (the weather I mean )Not over yet....
