Storm Barra a bit of a non event here after Arwen. The later clocked a gust of 49.8m/s here compared to 28.1, finished off a few more trees though.

If Barra had blown from the same direction as Arwen I think we really would have been in trouble,luckily only one sheet off the workshop took off but a neighbor lost the pine end of there cattle shed 🙈

I think that's why arwen did so much damage tbh it wasn't usual strong wind direction. There's been stronger winds round here done a lot less damage in the past.

Storm Barra blew down a tree here which took out the phone line. Repaired today and all back up and running, must be a record for Openreach.

With Arwen think the wind direction from the North was what hurt in conjunction with the severity, as opposed to normal prevailing south westerlies. Watched several pine trees splinter about 10 feet up when they "refused" to uproot.
