Having to turn lambs out into half finished shed. Panels up and roof but no side cladding. Better than out in the field but only just. All pens in main shed full. Typical.

Sucked the water out of the house toilets around 10am when the wind was at it's fiercest. Apparently 92mph gust recorded at Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula & 93mph in Capel Curig in Snowdonia.
Anglesey trees are well used to wind but grateful that they weren't in leaf TBH

So far only the side of our barn has been blown in, and a couple of bits of roof sheet gone South fortunately, but if this wind continues - I may wake up to only the metal RSJ's if it catches the rest with enough force, and I am not going to try and hold onto it!

We were vaccinating some finishing pigs in a tent today when a gust took it off the ground enough for one pig to escape. Got all that sorted and some tents weighed down by bales.
went home and had a cup of tea then thought i'd better have another look, got back to find another tent had been moved and its 50 occupants had become a bit more free range than intended. Now sorted.
The only snag is the landlord has decided to have an "inspection" tomorrow, I wonder how I can put him off?

My little single axle livestock trailer is sitting upright on it's tailboard against a fence tonight with the drawbar facing skywards.

I think leaving the jockey wheel high for easy hitching and the front vent down made a little scoop for the wind quite possible. The light lenses in their galvanised shrouds look un-damaged, so she'll be staying where she rests until the wind drops
