Stormont

Until something like the disagreement over the appropriate way to deal with the RHI scandal happens again.

The "Shinners" couldn't have left it much longer if they are hoping for a border poll in the next 5 years, and if they are to achieve a "New Ireland" they can't sit on the sidelines forever.

Maybe Arlene has bridged a gap after all :ROFLMAO:

Robin would have been well equiped for agriculture.
He would've been, but I think we're all better off with him as minister for health given the track records of the two main parties. Bit puzzled why he would take on such a demanding and time consuming job when only a few months ago he stepped down as party leader so he could spend more time with his family.

I think he maybe has a youngster with health issues, so perhaps he has more experience of the NHS than most. Good chap and will certainly put in the effort needed to sort out the NHS.
Used to be president of the young farmers?

I wasn't aware of that and if he has been unfortunate enough to experience the NHS in that way it'll certainly give him extra drive to sort out the problems in health, maybe his reason for taking the job.

this won't be good, Edwin 'i don't believe in science' Poots in charge of farming.
i can see it now

farmer "it rained for the last 6 months can we get a wet weather payment"
poots (lights up at hearing payment) " yes that a good idea i'll give the free P church a load of money to pray for good weather that will sort it out"

farmer " can you give some funding to help improve the Genetics of our breeding stock"
poots "there no such thing as Genetics, but i can give some money to the free P's to pray for better stock"

Perhaps you could provide a link to where he has said that he doesn't believe in science, I'm not sure I've heard those comments from him?
