One hell of a storm we are having at the moment, anyone else in the North Somerset area in the middle of it? Constant lightening, with flashes every 10 seconds or less for the past 35 minutes. An awesome sight to see, but no rain falling with it yet, probably because we are on the opposite side of the hill to the storm.

To the west of where I was, seemed to be right over the top of Alvis at Redhill, that sort of direction. Must have dozed off although it was raining hard at the time.

Heck of a thunderstorm going on here at the moment  and it is like being in a hot shower, boy is it hot, it came light then turned to night again.

Kept us awake last night - amazing lightning and really loud, has passed through now and looks reasonably bright. Think the grass has grown already! Only downside was a powercut for 4 hrs, and have some incubating eggs only on day 3 :(

Had a fair storm which woke me at about 1.30, it deposited 7.2mm of rain on us and the power kept going off every few minutes. Won't have done too much harm and the grass may just grow a bit.
Thundering in the distance now.

3 mm rain here 1 hour after spraying glyphosate on some fallow land... Possibly more this morning but no more due until Thursday when some of my winter barley comes fit post glyphosate.

I'm sure the grass has greened up overnight. :cautious:

The eggs should be fine
