I was watching the storm approach over london at work last night, amazing lightning show, I even managed to stay dry!!! That is until I got 5 minutes from home and the Heavens opened at 0240 this morning, just about stopped raining now though.

Kept us awake last night - amazing lightning and really loud, has passed through now and looks reasonably bright. Think the grass has grown already! Only downside was a powercut for 4 hrs, and have some incubating eggs only on day 3 :(

The eggs will be fine and yes agree the grass grew over night!!

Been for a quick look around - oats are going down, maybe about 20% lodged but more heavy lean than flat so far thankfully

Got none myself but can't see near fit barley making it through that lot without going very flat

we got a fair old storm this morning possibly 2 or 3 cells close together, very heavy rain at times and lost power for a couple of hours.

Can't believe that after all the dry weather we've had and the storms been well forecast for at least 2 days there's still hay bales sitting out, still not ours and anyway I'm supposed to be retired to village life

serious storms here in the early hours, been round today just looking at crops, one field of spring barley on the silt land looks like someone has took a set of rolls over it, flat to the deck in big swathes arcoss the field.
