My upright exhaust has broke and u can only buy the complete thing £1000 no thanks , Thinking just a straight pipe welded on would do the job but want it looking nice. It just a bit of old pipe . Anybody make them bespoke ?

Why pay someone to make one, just go down to your local milking machine shop, grab some stainless pipe (and a couple of bends if needed) and make your own. TIG or MIG will stick it all together.

A $5 tube of metal polish will make it shiny if thats your thing.

I used to be chief engineer at a company called Prodrive driving and developing prototype cars there.

Also employed there at the time was a welder fabricator who previously built suspension parts for the BAR formula one racing team.

While TIG welding he was often heard counting aloud....

..... Asked why he counted, we learned it was a habit picked up to know the number of times he dipped the rod into the weld pool. That way he knew he'd added the correct weight of weld to the weight of the racing car, to the gramme 😮

Not all welding is the same!!!

Personally I'd rather pay someone with the skill to do the job nicely, than snotter pigeon shyte across a bit of stainless milker tube! 😄
