Strange Deutz PTO Problem

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem im having with my 2010 Deutz 1145 ttv , It has a very slow to turn off pto. It engages fine when either the cab switch of fender switch is used but when you turn it off (with either switch) it shuts off the display on the dash (showing the rpm) but the pto will remain spinning for around 30 - 45 seconds (when put under heavy load it still spins) then stops and the brake engages. If I pull the the wire to the PTO solenoid when its still running normally or when running after its meant to be stopped it stops immediately with the brake locking it also. That seems to tell me its the solenoid still getting current after the computer thinks its off, does this sound right? if it is could it be a bad Relay? Bad wiring? or something else not related that i'm missing?

It was also dropping the pto out when this problem first started in the field under operating temps but haven't been able to replicate this in the workshop but it may be related.
Any help would be of great assistance.
Thanks

Sensor ,
Earth at engine block or corrosion in plug into cab behind panel
