Strange goings on

Came home tonight and Mrs Rev said there’s something wrong with the lawnmower.
Ok what like as we have had an issue with water in the petrol.
No not that it’s revving like a motorbike!
Ok so I have a look start it up it’s screaming it’s head off like a motocross bike.
Unbelievably a snail had crawled up in by the carburettor and jammed the throttle butterfly flat out!
Anyone else had such bizarre goings on?
Pic of mower he’d climbed up in the front the git.

It's like that every day here....

Bees have a nest in the loft space above the bathroom. The heat yesterday has melted the honey, and its dripping out from the light fitting. Have isolated that trip switch, but most of the lights in the house are on the same ring main. Ho-hum.

Young lad left the house at speed one morning for school, grabbed his wellies on the way.

Got to school, wet playtime, emptied welly in the hall and a live frog fell out. 🤦‍♂️
I can beat that. Got to work with my boys in tow, went to put their wellies on (that were inside the office which is accessed through two doors) and found a mole inside one of their boots.

I picked up my suit jacket one morning early (5am-ish) from the hanger in the office and as I swung it on I felt something in my inside breast pocket. Put my hand in and pulled out a pipistrelle bat. Not sure who was most surprised but it woke both of us up.

Years ago took our autistic son to Countrywide for a new pair of wellingtons, found a pair that fitted so knowing the size we picked up a new boxed pair and took to the till. Fast forward an hour when he's walking down the track in his new boots like he'd crapped himself, it was only when I was taking them off putting him in the truck that I noticed this pair still had reams of tissue paper packaging wedged into the toes! Poor bugger

Was at Groundswell a few weeks ago. Had a girl farm sitting. She left approx 1630.

2030 get a phone call from the neighbour to say the yard is on fire.

The quad carrier transit and the farm car up in flames. Apparently the transit went first. Fire crew arrive onsite and rapidly get things under control and sorted. Very grateful. Belief is bared wiring in transit cause arcing sparks which led to fire. Rodents fingered as possible wire strippers.

Neither vehicle has been driven for at least 3 days.

Both vehicles totally written off, but no further damage.

Van fuel line exploded and threw burning diesel 30ft across the yard. Lucky the quad wasn't in the van at the time.
