Strange Grazing

Aye-up,

Why have recently turned out cows grazed all the tractor wheel marks like this? Every 12 metres from fert spreading.

PTO not working? When spreading ferts.

I've seen a similar mess before. we had an intermittent fault on the tractor PTO and my son must have had Radio 1 full blast and hadn't heard it stop. The discs stopped spinning but the ferts kept trickling out hence the two burnt lines. Also PTO would come back on sporadically hence burnt patches to the side here and there.

Were the wheel tracks slightly dead? as in lower moisture higher DM...?

Might have been.

I wondered whether it was bruised grass, overnight frost, softer leaf?
