I think you’ll find it’s harvest and feeding the world so you are exempt from secure load laws....... saw an old boy on the A14 last week. 2wd tractor so I’m guessing 30kph? Towing an artic and dolly. No flashing light. Windows so dirty he could barely see out. Old light board held on by baker twine hanging slightly on the huhh. When he indicated the left brake light slightly flashed and nothing else.... it made me proud to be suffolk?Seen plenty round here leading straw with no straps on the road, 6 string squares. And rounds with only 2 front to back. Disasters waiting to happen.
No need for it these days, lights so cheap, straps not much more, pisses me off around here when I get behind a neighbour, I grant you it’s not a major major road, but how hard is it to turn your beacon on, put your side lights on, enough people hate farmers at mo, no need to make it worse!
I love mineMagnetic, wireless lights
Not sure if the point of a beacon off a dual carriageway myself. Drivers behind can’t see it during the day and, from behind, confusing at night.
Terry Wogan would be proudAnd it's " sitting " outside the pub, not "sat " ??
here, beacons need to be visible from all directions, so would have one on the rear as well
but then, most dual carriageway roads are banned to agricultural equipment
not that we are allowed to move at night anyway
Yes, when driving on a dual carriageway where they are a legal requirement , they are not a legal requirement on other roads allthough obviously there are times when it is sensible to use them, and as they’re not a legal requirement on other roads they don’t have to be visible from all around. They have to be visible in all directions in the uk too.

They still need to be strapped properly otherwise you’re asking to get done for an insecure load.Load big square bales crossways they cant fall off apart from one or two off the back
Yes but they’re just dicks, the smart ones know when to turn them on and when to leave them off. There’s plenty of people round here who seem to think that having at least two flashing beacons running at all times (yes, in the field, in the yard, late at night etc) is some sort of requirement.
Its only insecure when it falls offThey still need to be strapped properly otherwise you’re asking to get done for an insecure load.
