Hi, looking some advice, I have a mtb tyre size are 27.5x2.8, looking for a rack for the roof, what is best? I have one atm but the wheels barely fit, (tyre straps too short)fine for short journeys. Does anyone know if the Thule 598 pro ride and adapters work well? Or is there any other options?
Thanks

Wife cycling to Anglesey with friends over the next two days. Kidderminster to Church Stretton then overnight stop in Bala before the final leg tomorrow.

Drop in here occasionally, @Boysground keeps posting pictures of fancy bikes so I have to have a look.
Mrs OG and myself are cycle tourists. Did C2C on hybrids a couple of years back.
Up graded to gravel bikes last summer when lock down was released we did a 250 mile circuit in 5 days from Axminster to Ilfracombe, then Coast to Coast via Granite trail, Drakes way to Plymouth, Exeter and back to Axminster. Had an absolute ball.
Just done a couple of days near Newcastle Emlyn, up to New Quay and back. Such a wonderful way to explore the countryside, using all the back roads.

I can’t get Mrs Bg to ride a bike. She walks, doing 15 miles today while I’m combining. Biggest trip I’ve done this year is home to Lyme Regis. 2nd half was quite hilly. 64 miles there I did cheat and get a lift home :)

I’ve made the most of non- harvesting weather over the weekend, a forty mile spin yesterday and fifty six miles around the Cotswolds today. I was surprised how hilly it is around Chipping Norton and Stow. On the plus side I didn’t get run off the road by Clarkson’s Lamborghini!
