Straw dilemma

I’ve got about 4 acres of wheat straw still down from first week of September. It was part of the last field we combined, and due to a puncture on the baler, workman getting covid, rain and prioritising drilling, it is still in the windrows.
With the current forecasts, it doesn’t look like it will get baled so I need advice on the best way to drill without the straw issue.
I can either:
1) Ted out straw and plough
2) Ted out straw, disc, shakerate and drill
3) Hedge cut the windrows
What experiences have other forum members had in this situation.
Winter wheat Will be drilled with an Amazone combi.

If you have a draper pickup,use combine to chop and spread,then plough.
Or chop with decent rotary flail mower?Then plough.

Fair point, depends on how well you get on with local contractors. Plenty of choice around this area for SPFH ….. makes me wonder sometimes how they all

You’d struggle too convince us too come and chop it because of the stone risk… and we’re cowboys at the best of times

Ted out and plough in if you can make a good job of it . If it’s as wet as it is here then you won’t be doing much with it today

Push it up in a corner with the telehandler. Why didnt you get a contractor into bale it just to get it done

Thats a job I’ve never done myself . Think my contractors newest one was £110k

Assuming you have a tedder, ted it out & plough it in, job done
