Hi, anyone selling straw this harvest, what's the market like where you are?

Barley £70 . Wheat £50 acre at Penkridge Staffordshire other day.

Good crops of Wheat £120 - 140 acre.

Top price barley £172 acre. plenty £120-140 acre.

Average sale results anything from £95 to £110 to £130 acre per sale for Wheat straw.

Staffordshire... 850 acre in first sale of the area, average across the whole sale will of been around £55 acre peaked at about £78 I think... was plenty of smaller lots too be had at £30-40acre if you didn’t mind chasing a small field

Yeah normally tops the sales in Herefordshire around
there but still going some .
Close enough there for the Welsh boys to come with their
tractors and trailers and some excellent farmers in that area.
