Hi , we had a fire a few weeks ago and it destroyed our building , we are getting quotes in from shed companies , has any one had any experience with Bridgewater construction and Graham Heath construction

Had a Heath building erected in 2016 by indepent erector. No issues with building although had to weld on one cladding cleat that was missing. Heavier section of steel offered than others when out for quote. (Other suppliers may use additional detail which would allow leaner sections)
Biggest hassle had with Heath is getting quote back from them....

You’ll find in a Graham heath building (100x50) that there is 640kg of steel less in the frame than an equivalent Fowler and Gilbert building, this is due to Graham heath using narrow, deep steels, that’s a lot of rust if your not galvanising the frame, they’ll also put 40 roof lights in which makes it a sod to clad. This was from a quote 2 months ago, Fowler and Gilbert are a lot better to deal with.

You really need to know what's needed your self & read quote properly.

Cladding coating plastisol is a country mile better
gutter full length Galv 1 length per bay looks great and won't sag
The rsj steel frames all have to be to spec so not to much to worry about there
Perlins vary and most are to thin go for the thickest and deepest or spec stronger and the perling sleves make a massive improvement so if you spec the size that don't need the sleeves then add the sleeves it would be a lot better. Sounds rubbish but it's true.
Landini fibre cement sheets always seam better than the others( I think )
Make sure some one is going to grout posts inn
Ideally You don't want different gangs same person to do the lot welding footings and the erecting. Or your be stuck in the middle.
When are shed parts yours ie when the bits get delivered Or when the shed is complete.
Go round check don't take any sh!t make sure it's bang on. Ideally get some one recommended. Seen lots of very poor work over the years. But be reasonable in might burn down . Lol best of luck

M.J. Barrett Construction have done all ours on the new farmyard, they are very precise and tidy erectors, probably not the cheapest but we are very pleased with the quality of their buildings.

New! blimey just realised the first ones are 14 years old now!

I hear a lot of good things about him but can’t get him motivated, asked about a small shed a while back but never got anywhere, perhaps I’m too far away
I believe he is very busy which says it all really.
Ordered a new hay barn a month ago picking it up tomorrow but were less than 10 miles away.

Are you putting that up yourself then?
A month doesn’t sound a bad turnaround for a shed.
I’m in Maelor feeds most weeks so I see he’s busy just haven’t bothered asking him again but would be an ideal place for me to pick a shed up from.

Used bartetts recently. Erection gang was a family run gang. Brilliant. Very good well made shed. But Barrats time scale / delivery was a shambles.

No Gary's lads are putting it up.

Try deville and Lear at Asbourne. Did one for my parents nice job.

Currently putting my own 60x40x16 up bought second hand and there is more to it than meets the eye for a first timer. I have got frame and rafters up along with gable posts. If I had the cash at the moment Deville and Lear would have been set on with a new building but that is not the case.
