New crop baled wheat straw was selling for £25/bale last week for 120x90
Ah, in the swath.....I dunno. Are you paying the baling ?
to be fair to the buyer as well as seller £40-50/tSo what would be a fairer price per bale for barley straw in the swath then?
So 430kg bale by about 4 bales/ acre, offered £10/ bale = £40 / acre ? seems a bit low to me, but I'm biased towards selling....No, just selling the straw in the swath.
Been offered £10 a bale for barley straw, believe they are the three quarter Hesstons (around 420-430kg?) I'm in Hampshire.
Is that a fair price?
Who is combining wheat? Early?New crop baled wheat straw was selling for £25/bale last week for 120x90
£45/t in the swath for spring barley straw. £50/t for wheat straw in the swath. I didn't think that was too bad so have agreed a deal on that basis.
Is that for Dorset or up in the dark depths of the North??
Heard of £60t ex field for winter barley/ wheat straw in Wiltshire.
