Actually this is just the type of place to highlight what organic farmers are doing!

You seem quite aggressive, maybe you need to chill out a bit!
Your more deluded than my previous assessment what with your 2 ton straw estimates and procrastination of straw use on organic farms to other farmers who couldn’t care less, do something worthwhile with your keyboard.
Yes, I do not suffer fools, if you met me you Would see why, I am no different face to face or from a keyboard, I am myself.

No need to be so aggressive in all your posts

I have baled plenty of good and bad crops of Wheat in my time and know when they are 2 tonne plus and when they are 1/ 1.5 ton acre, this year I have seen both walking standing straw.

The wheat was well up on last year and much more than £11 acre on Monday nights sale and so would have been the barley.

Don't forget a lot of lots last year failed to sell even thou the reserves/ bids were very low.

Edit : Just looked at last years prices and the highest price wheat was about £66 acre other than 1 farm where they had a handful of lots and the top was £100 ish, most wheat last year was between £30/60 acre so there is no way that the average is only up £11 acre at the GTH sale on Monday night.

Im told that it was local farmer contractors who deal in straw as well as contracting who were the main drivers of trade on Monday night! they are not helping anyone!!

Nope straw at local sale was up EXACTLY as I stated.

As for organic farmers using conventional straw, of course it shouldn't be allowed unless its an exceptional situation, im surprised you don't see a new business line in sourcing organic straw from across the UK for organic farmers.

That's your opinion. And we know what that's worth!

Have you apologised to Jerry yet for saying he couldn’t sell his lamb as Exe Valley, despite him living alongside the river Exe?

I think you will find that Jerry lives/farms in the Kenn valley... Living near the River Exe thus doesn't give him the right to say his lamb is born/ reared in the Exe valley as he doesn't farm in the Exe valley..

Why would anyone want to put down a fellow farmer who is doing his utmost to market his lamb himself, and does more for farmers image via social media ( benefitting all sheep farmers), is beyond me.
It’s not as if you do anything on your Facebook page is it.
Why does it bother you exactly ?

What Jerry is doing is miss marketing/ miss leading to consumers and that's the last think as an industry what we need at this time.

Nothing to stalk ?
What are you doing to market anything to consumers.? It’s obvious that @Jerry is doing a sterling job by for his customers , who I’m sure aren’t going to complain about someone living where he does, calling his lamb Exe valley lamb. You should really start to grow up a bit.

What Jerry is doing is miss marketing/ miss leading/ stating false information on his website at best to consumers and at worst illegal.

And the fact you ( as someone who always takes the moral high ground on here ) believe that is totally acceptable is beyond belief ...

Well I don’t think Jerry is quaking in his boots . Why are you being so pedantic .
what does your lamb get sold as after it’s been through a bog standard market. I don’t suppose you have a clue .:banghead:

I have been fhinshing 1500+ cattle and 4000 store lambs a year for the last 25 years and have sold both live and deadweight so yes I know quite a bit about selling fat animals!

Finishing 4000 lambs a year to be fair he can't keep up with where they all go.
