Strike!

Just to let you know I had a sheep struck earlier this week. The sheep are in a field overlooking the sea, and not a sheltered spot, so I was surprised. Keep your eyes peeled!

Had a ewe struck about 10 days ago but luckily when I caught her there was no sign of any maggots, joys of wool shedders and heavy rain washed them straight out the hair

It's been a whure of a year for it :(

The sooner some hard frost comes and kills off the flies, the better!

You have to remember that some of these guys in Pembrokeshire & Devon might need that explaining. They don’t know what ‘frost’ means. ;)

To be fair, it must be worrying for them not knowing whether the mower will travel ok in February......

I had a ram with strike this week too. Survived the whole season with no issue on the shedders only to have 3 or 4 have issues around their horns since the beginning of Oct! I know mine follow a trend to get strike very late in the season, but this is taking the p!ss
