Can you blame them? Cost of livings going up maybe interest rates too.
You're probably getting more for your produce now, imagine paying all the extra inputs and being told wheats 150 quid a ton no negotiation..
Not that different really.

I'll give you that, anyone in the public sector that strikes really should have their current pay and conditions published as well as their demands, so we can see what's what.
I've no problem with nurses striking if they're on minimum wage but if I found out they were on 200K a year for 35 hours a week I might feel differently.
Difference is their pay goes up each year. If you graph farm incomes with inflation then it's less good a picture.

Fact is, someone has to earn less than someone else.

I read in todays paper that Junior Doctors have prepared the way for strike action. A potential strike was approved by the BMA which would take place by early 2023 'at the latest' Also Barrister's have called for action on pay.

My The government is facing the winter of discontent. Nurses and teachers next. Binmen by October. Wage Price Stagflation here we come.

Sorry to go off topic but on a more serious note, my country rambles see that wheat crops are looking very promising. High tiller numbers and very healthy. Many poorer areas due to compaction, poor drainage and general neglect over the past few years. Drains blocked and ditches overgrown Sloppy farming is now taking its toll. Am I correct?
My local man is looking towards a £2000 acre gross return except that 10% of his acres are trash. He still fertilised it and sprayed it but why do half a job?

Criminal barristers now.
Anyone in the govt pay will be striking by winter.

What do we want? Keep us all afloat during COVID?
When do you want to pay it back? Never.
How should we deal with the inevitable inflation caused by expansion of monetary supply and also the external supply shock? No idea but we want more pay for zero additional output to keep up with the inflation we brought on ourselves.

Sigh.
