Strip out wood use

We have a very old hospital in Lincolnshire that is going to be stripped out and there is a lot of old wood that will sent away or burned in a skip onsite. Can this wood be used for biomass and would anyone pay for it.

Thanks in advance

If its decent straight stuff and just needs denailing, there's a market for reclaim pitch pine and roof trusses.
Having seen the amount of old timbers that go into our green waste site then it can go for bio mass .
All the wood out the barns at the back of me were a bit woodwormy and dry rot but I'm using it for firewood

Any reclamation firm worth there salt will be eyeing up the valuable roof trusses and wooden floors as old hospitals where built with quality materials including loads of belfast sinks which fetch a fortune.

I see there is a company in Birmingham that processes waste timber, probably someone closer to you... you probably have to pay rather than the other way around though.. I don't think it could go straight to a farm biomass boiler as it wouldn't have the appropriate certifications to be permitted under RHI rules.
