stuck calf

best fiil all badger sets in now, dont want a person having an accident, HSE have enough to worry about as it is

What's wrong with you?

Badgers are lovely cuddly animals.

You should do all you can to protect them.

You cannot interfere with the set, but you can I understand dig a trench all around down to bedrock, and erect a fence for their own protection.

Shame if they starved to death.

You could on the other hand set up a feeding station.

I am told that an old chicken shed, or anything that will keep the food dry will work.

Stock it with dried beet pulp. They can't get enough of it, and it is rather unfortunate, that when they then drink water it swells, and bursts their intestines. At least they will die with a full stomach.

In the words of an old Welsh Proverb "Mae mwy na un ffordd I Grogi Ci." - translated "There are more than one way of hanging a dog.".

All hearsay of course, and I cannot vouch for the effectiveness myself.

What I would say however is that on the roads I travel I counted over a hundred dead badgers last year. Some days there would be as many as 10 within a couple of miles. If this is replicated over all roads in the trial area, I doubt if they will find many in some areas this year.

Hurrah!"

Just what is it to do with the Rspca? Surely it is up to NE wildlife unit or the police to decide that legal action re "interfering with a sett" would be a ridiculous waste of public funds, not a public charity with dubious aims.
