Hi all

My neighbour and I are looking to change our crop establishment methods for this coming autumn.

Currently plough based establishment and would like to get some info on lower input systems and the pros and cons from those who have made the change.

I'm looking to put together a short tour of the south west/south of UK to visit a few min till/strip till/no till converts.

Anyone using a Weaving/Mzuri/Claydon/750a etc be prepared to give us an hour or so to visit, have a look at some crops and have their brains picked?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for your help everyone I will contact those offering to show me some of their systems shortly.

I have recently looked at a Weaving GD locally so probably won't take you up on your offer thanks tr250. What made you choose this drill over other options though?

Anyone else in the south willing to have us drop in for an hour or so?

Cheers

I'm a few miles from you but am running a Claydon. You're welcome here. Devon James has more experience with this than me. I agree with Warnesworth - joining BASE UK and going to the AGM would be a good investment IMO. Lots of like-minded folk there.

@Timbo1080 @SimonD

@Bomber101 - who is the chap local to you who hosted the open day lasy year with his GD?

My cousin has a GD but I think the OP has already looked at one. Another neighbour has an 8m DTS - in fact a mutual neighbour of Timbo1080!

Cheers @Brisel, missed this thread momentarily. I’m sure Olly H would be happy to show Cider around too.

@Cider you’re most welcome to come and see all of our cockups & I’m sure @SimonD will show you some decent examples with a 750a too. Between us we have near blow away sand, through to 60% clay with no sand. Wheat drilled September, through to Wheat drilled late November. Some on cultivated Stubbles, some on ploughing, and the vast majority direct.
