Dream to some, nightmare to others; that aside, blocking other than temporarily, for a bit of national subsidy blackmail, seems unlikely.

Didn't you if my mind serves me well, announce that you had it on “inside government” knowledge, that Boris would announce numerous big spend projects for Britain in January. Levelling up and all of that.
He best keep off the Beaujolais tonight then, as tomorrow is a big day, of Borisonian dimensions.

We're not even out of January yet and, anyway, he's a politician. You've your own over there, so surely you know that unless they have to be made, they save up the best announcements to: a) distract and b) garner votes. No need for distractions at the moment and no elections for some time. (y)

He should look in the direction of the -- for a truly massive U turn, though a sign to truly represent the magnitude of this humongous U turn may cause problems for satellites and the space station, also in a strong wind it may flip Ireland on its side, so we here in good old Britain better start praying for a good east wind

You’re back! I thought all those blues were calving all together.
At my age I wouldn’t chance a U turn. Just plough on and hope for the best.

Almost guaranteed that she has announced a different lockdown cessation than England, in fact I would say any decision she takes would differ - one way of amplifying why independence is a better thing I guess. Devolution was an ideal but like every other political decision its mutated! I wonder what the SNP would be attacking Westminster on if we were still in the EU today?

What boils my hiss is the fact Boris, states he is going to make an announcement at 7pm , and being the Slippery Natured Politician she is makes her announcement few hours before to try and grab the limelight for a few hours.
