View attachment 988987here's a picture of our setup we used to use. 3m one pass one man. Could go into anything from wheat/osr stubble and all our potato ground got drilled this way for years. Just needs a good lump of a tractor in the middle
I tried a bit of this on wheat stubble a couple weeks ago.I’ve got the amazone box drill with front mounted spring tine and my 7710 in the middle.I’m amazed it worked and did not look pretty but the spring tine made a bit of loosening and drill and power Harrow done their job but the tractor was on its knees in the moist soil.I’m sure I could have set it all up to work better but just done a round to try it.now all coming up and looking well.don’t know wether I’d be brave enough to do a whole field though.I’d guess it’s my attempt at direct drilling

Theres also a 4 leg subsoiler type thing in the mix which is the key esp in potato fields. Its an agrisem combiplow . One man one tractor certainly has its benefits only if it is doing 3m at a time. As long as it could be pulled. Weight on the rear is the worst, the subsoiler frame is 1t and also pushes an already heavy combination setup further back even more
