I think so, I know one of them has slipped, because she was scanned in at 2 months.

Doesn't seem to have. They've been tested a couple of times before, and they're on a high health scheme which doesn't seem to have helped me out at all.

22/22 Heifers 13 with embryos in out of 18 implanted.
12/16 Cows. Some didnt get that long with the bull to try and get calving abit tighter so not too bad

bolus in back end pre calving, bull in from turnout in early May til 25th July or so. Fed them a lot better towards turn out in winter, calves were born with more vigour and cows were fitter at turnout.

Interesting scanning results. 24/25 heifers in calf of which 22 scanned 3-4 months. 2 were only 45 days so might estrumate and kill them. On the cows had 37/41 but not as tight as I'd have liked. Majority to calve Feb/March but annoyingly a few slipped into april. The most frustrating thing is I'm convinced several were in calf then for some reason came back bulling in July despite no bulling signs whatsoever since May. I'm putting it down to some extreme hot weather when we had it up to 35°c.

26 in calf out of 27 here. Had 20 out of 20 last year. My geld cow this year is lame and can't get her right so maybe best she's not in calf...

56/60 including 20/21 heifers. Those not in calf didn't really have an excuse.

I dont bother scanning any more, seems if they are not bulling they are in calf 90% of the time and if you keep all the dates of when the bulls ran with the cows you pretty much know the calving period.

Im always nervous at scanning. Bulls get 9 weeks here. Especially this year, 1 group i have hardly ear numbers written in my book as bulling. Maybe the bull was busy at night i dont know. They are in good condition and all calved early this year. Fingers crossed!
if you are going to estramate and cull those that got in calf late why did you not just take the bull out quicker ?
