Sudden lamb deaths

Phone call at midday saying suspect dead lamb. Get there, ears & face eaten off but I'm pretty sure that done after dying. No obvious signs. Drive to top of field, another dead lamb. Big healthy lamb. Clean arse. Both eyes were cloudy...but they were clear on Thursday as had them in for t/e drench.

Any ideas?

We still get the odd pulpy kidney when vaccinated. It's usually a good 'un

I'd cut it open and have a look - or get 'em to do it at the kennels.

There were 8 lambs that got missed...will check tag number tomorrow.

I'd have said pulpy kidney, however I usually get problems August/ September time when the mornings are a little damper
Usually the best lamb/ lambs that you lose

I've had a lamb die with pulpy kidney when it just had one jag of heptavac. They're not fully covered until after the second injection.

Just wondered if the white cloudy eyes indicated something a bit more specific.
