They learn to scoop it after a while. There’s a transition period but they come around to it.

If you have a chopper use it if not and you haven’t a lot of cattle or beet to feed hard to justify buying one.

Its standing me 52 pound a ton, its to expensive

I agree, I think at £45 it’s dear enough but it’s just another way to stretch silage, I bought 200 bales of ‘good’ silage but when we got the first load home it’s very wet, the water pisses out of the bottom of the feeder so need to put something in with it to add a bit of umph to it.

Beet will save you a fortune on meal
