I thought C beet were £5 ton this year because they don't want them after the bumper crop last year.
They had to pay £15 for C beet last year and there was a lot of them.
I think you are right...... Still wouldn't sell them to cattle men at much less than 20 cos surely there will be plenty of unfilled contracts :censored: and few stockfeed potatoes about.

I've cut my area to the bone next year. I'm working on area needed to fulfil my 5 year average minus 10%. That leaves me with an odd 5 ish acre part field. I could put corn on it but locally fodder beet regularly make £30 t.

If heaven forbid we get another crap year I'll mix them in to bulk up my tonnage but all being well they'll make a few £££ and keep it a whole field.
