Sulky spreader, actuator stuck open.

I've been busy fertilizer spreading for the last two days, putting on the final dose of nitrogen.
The electric actuator on the left-hand side decided to stick open. Because we were busy, I decided to disconnect both electric actuators and tighten the aperture arms, so that the spreader reverted to a "fixed rate" spreader. which allowed us to continue spreading.
Is there anything I can do/check on the actuator? Or is it a case of buy a new one?

Is it a Linak actuator? We had one on the drill that stuck, I opened it up for a look, but decided to send it to David King, I think they said they put a new reed switch in, anyway it wasn’t away long and I expect it only cost a fraction of a new actuator.

Linak have top and bottom limit switches, these only cost pennies and can be swapped using a soldering iron and some patience.
Often it is excess grease spreading out onto micro switch gluing the button on microswitch down.

This is the basic linaks with only fully opened/closed operation, not the fine tuning needed for drills speaders but im think the limit switches will be the same.
Linak used to sell spares to customers initially ,but now only sell to 'dealers'
