Had some soil tests done on upland grassland and some fields showing short of sulphur, what is the most cost effective way of building these up? TIA.

Tried gypsum years ago and it made no difference so moved to an N & S liquid fert mix to feed the crop and not the soil. Also tried the straight sulphur granules (can’t remember the name) but they are a phaff to apply.

We have used the granules but need applying in early/mid winter so it converts by spring and on our ground that tends to need a frost, using polysulphate this time, its mined in the UK so that's a bonus and is easy to spread and enables me to use straight urea, wont know if it works till harvest

Any Sulphate fertiliser, be that Fibrophos or AS, will leach readily so only supply S for a short time.
Another option, if you’re just looking for S, is elemental Sulphur (like Tiger 90 etc). Apply at 15 kg/ha or so annually and it will break down slowly and supply S through the season. Relatively cheap too the last time I got some.👍
