I was told that polysulphate was slow to release its nutrients, as it is still in the rock form.

PotashPlus however, is a polysulphate and MOP compound, and therefore has been powdered before compounding - so probably more readily available. So maybe a better product than Polysulphate if you also have a potash requirement as well as a more quickly available sulphate.

What else needs putting on? Calcifert S supplies Sulphur & Calcium, Polysulphate or PotashPlus supplies K &S, Kieserite provides Mg & S, KornKali provides K, Mg & S. All are fairly readily available and relatively good value.

It is slower but I've not found it to be a problem and being slower it does seem to trickle feed the crop through the season and as S will leach as easily as N it's no bad thing.

With things like double top I do wonder how much nutrient is left for uptake in April/may when it's used as the only source of S and is applied in one big dollop at the end of feb.

On a separate note my polyS was £152 ton which makes that a very cheap source of S03 and the potash combined with regular muck will be the only K I apply.

I did get offered G2 amsul for £160 but i think he must have made a mistake, has anyone got any recent prices.....perhaps o should have had a load[emoji848]

Sulphur requirement is at the same time as N so you don’t need much at this time of year. As @neilo said, there are many forms of S. Add gypsum, digestate, sewage, FYM, slurry, and Fibrophos to the list of sources.

That might help. Your crop will need 50-100 kg/ha of SO3 (10-20 kg of S) so think about how you’d apply little and often. Sulphur is highly leachable.
