Are Sumo multpress Packer roll is getting pretty worn out is it possible to get new rings to weld on? Or is it a new packer roll time?

Depends on the packer. Sumo certainly used to do factory rebuilds and upgrade packers to modern spec.

For the ribs on the packer You can buy segments in three parts from them and just weld them on

This is what I was hoping I think the tube has still got some life in it. I will ask are dealer. Thank you.

Our is on its third set,ie originals then been replaced and then replaced again and the tube is still ok although going thin now and the flatter piece under the rib has a very occasional hole but not caused any problems…might want to renew the bearings although we didn’t .we just welded in situ and did bearings as and when

Ours is a trio though but presume similar packer
