making the most of the frosty mornings and getting some sumoing done in great conditions but have noticed some play in the disc bearings so would like to get some in stock before they fail. Would anyone know the bearing number as this would save stripping a hub down to put it back together again, thanks in advance.

Have got some spares on the shelf at work, will try and remember to look at the size in the morning. Not the easiest to fit but ok. I brought a complete bearing unit off sumo so I could change and get going again quickly and fix the unit when I have a spare minute

Was told once If there is only slight play then you can add a shim to tighten as they are tapered bearings but if too bad can soon ruin housing also you can get play in the shaft thinking it's the bearing .

We found replacing the complete assembly is more cost affective. Also, I wouldn’t be too keen change them if there is just a slight bit of movement in the them. They can run like that for ages!!

I’m happy to eat my words but it’s done 3500 acres since so far so I’m happy

Fairly busy trio then if it does 3500 acres a year , I suppose it all depends were the machine is in it's life , our trio was one of the first built and is now a triggers broom , been a fantastic machine !!!! But we have had the bearing housings wear which means that it would be silly of us to try and get away with just bearings ,,,,,, but I was also told that replacement bearings won't last like the originals due to shaft wear were the seal sits and therefore seals don't do the full job , maybe bulls**t , I don't know
