Thoughts on a 3.5m mounted sumo trio. I have a mounted trio converted to trailed but contemplating buying a proper trailed or making mine back to a mounted one?

Yes that was my thoughts!Very heavy
Really?Having seen both a trailed and a mounted working in the same field, I never want to see a mounted sumo again.
Haha yeah! Are you keeping the mounted one yourself? Are you not very keen on it mounted? If it’s mounted check your balls . Trailed would be my choice our mounted one is the harder On the back end than my 7 furrow mounted plough
It gets very little use now to be fair but gets dragged out when now and again. It’s a good machine, does a great job of levelling up ex spud land and is nice to drill behind.Haha yeah! Are you keeping the mounted one yourself? Are you not very keen on it mounted?
Fair enough yeah did a perfect job this year but it’s a bad design having the trail kit on a mounted for meIt gets very little use now to be fair but gets dragged out when now and again. It’s a good machine, does a great job of levelling up ex spud land and is nice to drill behind.
it’s the only cultivator we have that’s mounted now and with the amount of road work we do trailed kit is a lot better
That’s good to know! Do you have it on the link arms or draw bar?We went from 3m mounted to a 3m trailed with the front discs, it actually pulls easier than the mounted even tho it’s heavier, also have a rape seeding kit on it as well

Yes, sumo seeder with the disc coulter outlets mounted on the frame of rollerIs it a sumo seeder rape kit you have on your trailed trio? Where do you have the seed outlets mounted? We have a 3m trailed trio also with the front discs, a fantastic piece of kit, makes a great job, just not so impressed with the seeding kit yet, many thanks
Ah right, it’s just the spreader plates on our one, mounted on the rear of the roller frame, likely where your disc units are attached, the main issue I had to begin with was with the seed rate slowing down on the second or third bag of seed, not sure if it was the dressing that caused the issue or I didn’t have it set correctly in the first place, I don’t know anyone else with one to ask if they have had similar issues.Yes, sumo seeder with the disc coulter outlets mounted on the frame of roller
Which seeder?Ah right, it’s just the spreader plates on our one, mounted on the rear of the roller frame, likely where your disc units are attached, the main issue I had to begin with was with the seed rate slowing down on the second or third bag of seed, not sure if it was the dressing that caused the issue or I didn’t have it set correctly in the first place, I don’t know anyone else with one to ask if they have had similar issues.
The newer type, white hopper and a distribution head at the back, has a small auger with a tube in the middle to deliver the seedWhich seeder?
