Supplier of 20ft long timber?

Really struggling to get some 6 by 3 inch 20ft long perlins! Does anyone know a good supplier in the north

Are you sure 6 x 3 is strong enough for a 20ft bay ?
I would be looking at 9 x 3

I have 4 - 15 foot bays and 1 - 20 foot bay. 7 x 3 all along with tin roof and they've sagged slightly on the big bay.

If they’re roof perlins they’ll be like bananas! 7x3s on 15bays are bad enough

Fall timber ....definitely 9x3 on 20ft.

Used to use Empsons at Gunness near Scunthorpe but now I think they are more domestic timbers
Nowadays use Websters at Burn or Kennings at Gilberdyke depending on what I want

So, 91” deep purlins at 15ft....... yep. Yep, that should do it.

9”x3” is what we used on 20 foot bays sheeted with big 6 cement fibre wouldn’t want to go lighter.

Half the span of 15' would obviously be 7.5, you then add an inch to get to the nearest available depth - so an 8 or 9" joist as a base line.

But you knew that already.
