Surveyor recommendations ,boundary dispute

The fun of original deed plan marked on 60`s OS map and the new deed plan being on OS Cartesian Register that dosen`t line up properly.

It`s suspect an issue thats going to come up more often, Scotland moving to cartesian mapping tiles that should all match for land registry.

Problem being the digitisation was done years ago on some maps and not very well, as is becoming apparent.

Having a `discussion` with Network Rail about where there boundary actually lies, there interpretation is the most generous amalgamation to them from 2 plans.

It appears may be best to get the site resurveyed by an independent surveyor to establish what is the accurate plan , fixed 150 year old goods shed and loading bank to establish a measuring point.

Anyone any experince of this sort of thing and reccomend a surveyor in central Scotland belt?

Thanks
Adam

Thats the problem with larger firms , bit like pizza, kebab and fish and chip shop`s , we do the lot, but none it particularly well.

Experience of surveyors with buying and selling residential property has not been ,er, great.

We are actually rail contractors so the majority of our work is from NWR, so have done piles of this kind of work. Loy Surveys (owned by Ogilvie) are who I would recommend !. Fully independent but very well respected by Network Rail.
