One Swallow doesn’t make a summer.

  2. They usually arrive here around April 10th give or take a few days.

  3. Same here but more towards mid late april here depending on weather, we can still get a touch of snow that time,
But have known that time to be our summer also.

Three swallows around here today. Earliest I've seen them. They were here on the 8th last year. We normally see house martins before the swallows but not seen any yet. 4 yellow hammers around here and a pair of curlews also.

Mrs LS had a stroll around the lake at Stourhead (National Trust property, SW Wiltshire) this morning and saw and heard some feeding high up. The first sighting this year.

First 4 house martins turned up this evening, a day later than the last two years. Always puts a smile on my face, great to see them back. The routine of making sure there is mud in the yard begins!

House martins back in a nest on the house this morning. No signs of swallows in the stables yet. Mrs LS looked in her bird diary, it was mid may last year - very late.

  17. Two arrived here in Lancashire this afternoon :)
