My Grandparents generation didn't turn cattle out to grass until they saw two swallows.

I'm still waiting to see my first pair, but we do have a few cows out .................. they will be turning in their graves !!

Buried your cows????!!!! Couldn't resist.

Hedgehog snuffling around in the garden last few nights, when I have popped out with the dog. She takes an interest, then a wide berth!

Never see a swift here, but house martins and swallows abound. Not seen any yet, despite looking. One nest fell down last week mainly because it was being used by wrens, hords of them, so hopefully it will be rebuilt this year as it is just above a window so you get a good view as they swoop up. Bats are flying and lots of bumbles, so it looks like the year has turned at last.
