I've got one and it's ok on damp straw but if it soaking then no as the heavy wet straw just goes back to the bottom, if soaking then you can't beat spreading it right out and raking it back up when dry.

Crap for really wet straw but if its damp and just needs a fluff uo to let air through they're not bad

Single rotor rake be a better job I reckon, move it onto dry ground?

Agree, good for damp straw and preserves the row shape. Best done when drying is at it's very best as it will settle back down. I try to do headlands as combine leaves field.
