T0 thoughts septoria control 2022

What are peoples thoughts on what to use for septoria control at t0 this year? Didn't do a t0 for septoria last year, only teb on yellow rust susceptible varieties, but had too much septoria in may/june for my liking.

What is there?
Folpet?
Can you get mancozeb this year?
Triazole for the little bit of activity they have left? one of the foliar sulphur products?

I wouldn't expect much from anything at t0 on Septoria. We are putting some Teb on where there is the risk of Yellow Rust, which may give some incidental control.

Save the money and beef up the t1?

Litre of folpet because I've got it in stock. We're not in a hugely high risk area. That being said even the later drilled second wheats look quite lush and it's been mild. I'd just like to take a little pressure off the T1. Potentially amistar on the very late wheats for the extra ooomf.

Now CTL has gone T0 is now really just a rust spray, if no rust I won’t apply any fung, there’s nothing else economic enough for the marginal Septoria control that this timing gives, might be different in a higher risk area

Spend more at T1 and grow more robust varieties

Another Revystar or Univoq at T2
And not sure for T3

Will be spendy , but epoxy gone, CTL gone.

Inflation means fungicide programme for me probably looks to be £120/ha now. Septoria came in a bit late last year and took us by surprise

T0 for yellow rust only here = Tebuconazole (maybe with azoxystrobin too)

Grow the most resistant varieties. Nothing chemical worthwhile without ctl. Folpet a waste of time unless you in extreme high risk west.

Indeed, considering what a septoria T0 spray contributes, even in a high pressure year, compared to the cost of the rest of the programme this year.

I more or less said similar yesterday with the agromonist. 5 years ago we didn't have a T0!
He went on to say its risky to leave it out, folks that left it out last year regretted it.......

Obviously.

I said we'll see what happens later on. Its a long way till T1.

Perhaps the attitude to t0 differs depending on if you bought your urea at £300 or £900.
