Anyone warrant doing a T3 this year?
Growing skyfall and is a bit of yellow rust around so may do a cheapo one involving
Tebuconazole

Already past full flowering here, T2 went quite late with approx a third of the ear showing. On the watch for Brown Rust so will follow with a sniff of Teb if required, but I'm hoping I can get away with it

Yes will be doing a fairly modest T3 to protect against fusarium. In a wet harvest it’s always easy to see any misses around poles etc. Always think it’s a good insurance.

T3 timing for fusarium control is a real pain-only very limited post infection activity even with the best PTZ. Phosphite has post infection efficacy though. For fus & michrodochium(the real nightmare in 2012) its really a pre or at very eary anthesis application. If dry conditions persist, then a more flexibly timed spray of teb(+AZ) is more then ample. Some real differences between varieties for fusarium; Cougar an absolute nightmare, Leeds pretty good. We need challenging anthesis periods to sift out the duffers as we need wet springs to dump filthy septoria varieties. We grow seed, so have to be a bit careful about our approach on some crops.
