T6080 vs T7200

Can anyone tell me is there any major changes between the high bonnet NH T6080 and the T7200.

They looked appealing to us and was wondering what was justifying the higher price for the T7's (taking both machines as around the same age & hours).

The 6080 will feel strangled compared to a T7.200 our 6080 ended up getting a black box on it to make it feel as powerful as the tm150 that it replaced.
Depending on the spec the biggest difference is the T7 could have the electric armrest and nicer joystick

Ive heard that with a box the 6080 is capable of around the 200hp mark.

Would ideal like a 6080 with the sidewinder (electric spools) etc but very hard to find.

If it’s designed to boost to 180 then it will run 180.
Thinking 200 and wondering if the 'box is up to it. The tranny is really only rated for 150.

I could say max power would only be used for PTO work, but you know what occurs.

Just pondering life after a T7.210 PC and would like that 'box/handier package.

We have a T7.210 PC running at 210HP permanent ,it’s completely changed the tractor
Is a T6.180 the equivalent of a maxxum 150?

get which ever one is in better condition and to a spec of your liking. The t7s are a lot quieter. Leccy spools give problems and £800 to replace. Also a t6080 PC when cold would be lucky to have about 120hp, they are that dead! Remap would do them wonders

Would you be comfortable doing the same with a T6.180 DC?
If you have a lot of draft work or heavy lugging, the transmission is going to be the weak link if you remap. If it is for pto work then the transmission will not be having to take all of the torque and it should be okay.
This article talks about remapping T6.180s

The boost is only designed to work when in pto work. The transmission is not rated to 180 to the wheels, hence no boost to protect the transmission in draft or trailer work. But mowing, baling etc where a large chunk of the pto power is going out the pto shaft, then the boost is activated.
That was always my understanding of boost on the tractor.

The boost is in over a certain ground speed on trailer work so not sure what you’re referring to sorry. T6 and T7 both did it before they were mapped

Depending on the gearbox, a PC for example boosts in 16th and above, when the PTO is loaded or when the hydraulics are working hard.

When the light is on doesn't necessarily means it's fully boosting just available and is staged depending on the load.

6090 here that is re-mapped to 200/245 on PTO, it's a bit of an animal but I've had no issues with it, had it since new. Also have a T7.245 which is in effect the same HP, T7 much nicer place to spend the day, more comfortable but it's quite a bit bigger framed than a T6000 series and with only 200 would prob feel a bit lethargic.

You could also look at a Case Puma 155 essentially the same tractor underneath, and usually these were higher spec than the new hollands
Forget the puma

I’ve owned both Puma 155 and T6080 same age similar hours

Puma was like a wet lettuce compared to the blue one.

Both went on a dyno and appeared to be putting out the same power but the blue one just seemed so much smoother and pulled far better.

Is your 6090 a power command? We currently have a range command TM but would like to try the power command box so long as they are as reliable as the range one. From looking at pricing between the 6000 series and the newer t7 its hard to justify the extra few thousand for the newer model.
