T7.210 front PTO retrofit...

Dealer is quoting ~£3k fitted for a factory PTO, which is about £1k more than I was thinking.

Is there any alternative kits such as they do for aftermarket linkages or is it OEM or nothing. Google didn’t really help. Thanks

Yes it can be done, 3k fitted for a factory one is a very good price though. I fitted a new Dagenhart one to my T7 last year and it was 2k to buy, the kit it's self was pretty rubbish and I wasn't happy with the relocation of the piepwork and valves so I've re made most of them out of hard pipe bent nicely like it would be out of the factory.

On a similar note our John Deere dealer has quoted £2500 fitted to retrofit to a 6155r. I can buy the unit for £1900 but the question is how much of a job is it to fit the thing? I’ve only limited spannering skills so will be paying the local very capable but inexperienced with front Pro’s man with a van to come and help anyway. Had I just as well pay Deere the £600 and know it’s all done properly? The dealer will be using the OEM kit- the one I’m looking at is an aftermarket one.

We also supply the OEM PTOs for NH for this reason

Fitting it is easy, but you need a man with a laptop to “tell” the tractor it’s now got a front pto
