T7245 pto problem

I have a t7245 ac which won’t start the pto using the hts. It will stop it ok but I have to reset the start stop switch to get it to restart. Code 007 comes up and the screen says ‘pto switch in the on position please switch on pto’. The automatic pto function is working fine.
Has anyone any ideas. Thanks

Sounds like the pto switch is stuck,either making a connection all the time or breaking the connection,have you checked the fender buttons? one may be stuck in.

Why don't you just run it on auto PTO so lift height controls when it engages and disengages?

Just checked the fender buttons and they seem to be ok. Does the pto switch need to be in the on position for the hts to be able to turn on the pto? If the pto switch was at fault would the fender buttons work? Thanks

Yes Pto needs to be in on position to work.

Why don't you just run it on auto PTO so lift height controls when it engages and disengages?

I want it to be able to switch on/off orther functions at the same time on tanker eg rear valve, macerator and pto.

Do you not still need to press auto PTO button?

I'm just guessing as I have only used it with linkage mounted PTO driven implements.

Tried that but screen says to turn it off

Yes the hts will switch it off but not on again. Then I get this screen

Have you a front pto on the tractor?
If so swap the plugs under the armrest to rule out the switch,looks like the error code you get if the switch isn’t in the on position,I’ll check mine tomorrow.

Ok thanks. I don’t have a front pto. But will see if I can get another switch to try

I used to drive a T7060 and never did get it to switch the PTO on with HTS.
It would switch it off right enough....

Mine will switch it on no problems with the tanker at headlands. It’s a tricky bugger to set up a new sequence with mind you.

Software issue, nothing wrong with the switch. I Don't know if this was ever addressed with later updates but as said once engaged on the switch the HTS system could only turn it off and not back on as the system sees that the switch is set to on. I'm sure it used to say switch is off if you tried to turn it on with the HTS and the PTO switch was off
Didn't get over involved as most applications you could use Auto PTO

Yes different error code if the switch isn't on.

The HMS setup is pretty poor compared to other brands in my opinion.
