there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Had plenty of that this afternoon. Apparently when she said family afternoon, she didn't mean recovering my transit to the garage.

Something when wrong with the electrics and it locked the keys in, so I took a sledgehammer to the window. Then it wouldn't start so we towed it to the garage with the Outlander. Unfortunately, the wife doesn't have a B+E licence, so I had to drive the Outlander while she piloted the transit. Things were made worse by the fact that the power steering stopped working half way there...

We don't have a drive so I'm angle grinding it to nothing on the road outside the house.

@unlacedgecko can you not get a pair of fold up ramps on either side of the flatbed?

That way you could drive up and off or reverse off,I'm sure it would be safer.
I'll stand by what I said a few months ago, put a livestock box on the transit and then everything will be out of sight and you'll have a safe ramp for loading and unloading. Plus you won't look so suspicious! ;):ROFLMAO:

:eek:You're taking it down to the chassis??

I envisaged a hole at the back for entry, a hole at the front for exit, the roof still on for rain protection, all the 'amenities' still in place - gas rings so you could swivel round off the clamp to get a fresh brew, bed for 'the odd five minutes', w.c. for...... well you know..........:LOL:.

It was stripped out when I bought it.

I'll take it to the chassis then install everything (clamp, ramps, shedder, hurdles etc) then put a canopy and lights on it.

Get flatbed with livestock back on it all kit hid out way in dry and can chuck few ewes in if needed?

I used a trailer last year. At the minute I'm using a stock box. It's very poor on fuel consumption.

A flat bed van means I can move quad dogs etc and still tow something.
