Tags for recording outdoor lambers

Want to use something that allows us to link lambs to mothers tags without catching the ewe(so would have a separate number that links to the ewes tag), so was thinking of something like a neck tag or large flag tag.
What do you guys who lamb outdoors use?

Zee tags are the bees knees it seems. That was the thread longer ago. But the importers don't import the 1piece sheep tag which is the one needed.
Tried to drum up enough interest on here to get them interested but they were non committal. "Not at the moment"
Time to chase up again me thinks.
Some larger flocks import direct from New Zealand. @Romney_Rob for 1 I believe.

Aye, spray ewe number on week before lambing starts. I catch the lambs before a day old and tag with shearwell set tags. Ewe and lamb numbers written in book, together with tup id colour. Pedigree job sorted!

Any mis mothers are easily sorted, and marked for cull.

I use zee tags 2 piece, large and button combination.
I've spoken to Zee tag NZ and they're happy to sell here, supposedly you just put an order in with UK seller and they can order. Ring Zee tag if you're not happy with the UK seller. Maybe there's a place for a new uk sales agent who can supply 1 piece tags.

I have tried spraying numbers on the side of the sheep, but they were blurred within a fortnight. Maybe my sheep are too wooly?;)

Last year I managed to read all the ewes EID tags with my Psion while I was tagging/ringing their lambs (at less than 12 hours). There were only 2 that wouldn't stand quite close enough, so I popped their lambs in the open quad trailer and let the ewes run in to them, then read them off in there. Hoping to be able to do the same this year.

I don't wear glasses when I'm working, so I suspect any tags would have to get larger each year.
