Had to stop yesterday afternoon as it got too dry here, down to 11%.

Gave it a couple of hours and set off again as the sun dipped below the horizon. Came back up to 13% by midnight.

Bloody hot here today, weather station north of 83 degrees

why did you stop when it got to 11% ?

we can’t actually deliver wheat above 12.5 %, I’d say the vast bulk of our wheat would normally be harvested around 10 - 11 % moisture . . .

never too dry. Less problems storing and threshing when it’s dry,can cut on into the night and mix in a few higher moisture loads too from the morning start.

Partly as the straw was being smashed to bits. Gave it an hour and the Swarth was twice the size.

ok, we are ALL about the grain, we don’t bale straw as it’s too valuable as trash / residue / ground cover in our zero till systems.
Tbh, if it was smashing the straw that would be an advantage for us 👍😃

Wheat down to 13 tonight and I suspect the last trailer might be in the 12’s not stopping as I want everything that’s fit in the local store before the weather goes to crap and it will

Finished wheat today. Testing 13.5% yesterday, didn't bother testing the last bit today.
Tried my best to stop straw smashing up, but obviously didn't manage it well enough as I watched Cousin struggle to bale it this afternoon.
Not going to make the best bedding 🙄
