Taking back control

Globalism is a disease, why cant you have some bearded guys in local coastal towns catching the fish? Going to the bar and hanging it on the land lovers....

You are hypnotized if you think that everything must be done by a super trawler, or a big corporate pig farm, or a big corporate bank...

I dont feel sorry for people who get sucked into this because they are adults, and are entitled to there opinion...a sad existence in my book being a slave to the central bank and globalism.

I had a tour around abit of the Bombardier train works in Crewe a couple weeks ago, half the site they are now selling off for housing because the world of trains has moved on, but clearly, Bombardier hasn't moved along with it, i went a decade ago and they said they were going to do this in the future and now they've just finalised the deal to sell off the land, so they've had a decade of opportunity to develop new systems on the available land, but the vision of globalization would rather leave the place to rot.

They go on about brexit wrecking jobs, but i was told this 10 years ago, give it another 15 years and the whole factory will be flattened when the niche they currently focus on, goes the same way as the ones that used to ocupy the buildings that are going for housing now.

I can completely understand why people want nationalistion, it add's an extra foot in the door that everything must be tried at all costs to keep job's here.

They didn't build a massive new container port in London for it to sit idly by.

The writing is on the wall .. London want's a cut in import profits whilst the rest of the country can get stuffed.

What??? Nationalism!!!! You mean people want some protection from the downsides of globalism!!

Well I’ll be damned. The loudest claim of the Brexit Mujahadeen, is that the EU is bastion of protectionism, holding back Britain’s rightful place in the vanguard of global trade and globalism. Chief Mullahs BoJo Boris, Eighteenth Centaury Mogg, and Fox would happily have the plebs who didn’t get born to the Manor compete with the unbridled and unfettered forces of global trade.
All that was needed was a cool three card trick sleight of hand to get the same plebs to sign up to the plan. Red Bus .... the rest as they say is history.

Typical ashtree post, all waffle, no substance , abit like your silage ground

Globalism..no globalism...recession or growth....none will protect businesses that cannot move with the times...you can have market forces with nationalism...its not a premise that one cant exist with the other...

My town i live is moving along steady...shops close not because no money...because no demand or business skill...and when you enter some you get a good idea whos staying and whos closing...and we are very isolated from outside competition...

With nationalism i wiukd say that u can get greater competition at the small business end than globalism...at the big end of town less...

In the case of trains...if the local train mob have fallen behind...theres no hard law they must be used...thats the idea...nationalism...would an outside technology be better for us than less tech and losing jobs...it has to be weighed up in the national intrest.

We let globalism run rife in oz and that was a mistake...for many reasons..not just monetary.
