Taking back control

Slightly off topic, but the SNP leader is now pushing hard for a second Indy referendum. Is she just jumping in the Brexit bandwagon or do Scotland really want independence from the UK? For such a small island the prospect of a 3 nation make up is a great shame. I am sure we are stronger together. I thought the idea of devolution was to allow the regions to have a say in local governance, not to use it as a vehicle to leave the Union?? Could Wales or Scotland really afford to be 100% independent??

Maybe they will refurbish Hadrians Wall! Joking aside, how much trade comes into England from Scotland? I have no idea but I guess it’s a lot. At one time I assume and Indy’ Scotland would have claimed N Sea has and oil as theirs thereby becoming a local Middle East!

The Czechs were a bit disappointed that the Slovaks wanted to go their own way (when they finally got rid of the bloody Russians, (after the bloody Germans)), but I gather Slovakia ticks along quite nicely on its own with a population of just 5 million and as of course does the cz rep with 10 million. So why not?
