Entrance to the yard looks a bit of a mess, with ropey old tarmac, and potholes filled with concrete etc.
Don't want caravan born entrepreneurs doing the job, and quotes per sq M from ' professionals ' are eye watering.

I assume I can buy a load of tarmac, and lay it myself ? Preparation ? Can I lay it on top of old tarmac ?
Had a look at a local firms website, and was confronted with this. What on earth do I ask for ?
Don't want to make a fool of myself on the telephone (again):LOL:

Fill in any holes with Travis perkins very fine postcrete, does not crumble easily Make sure you do the hole in one go as it will not stick to itself after it is dry.
Used it on concrete yard and had 30t artics on it after 30 mins, just left some tread marks which I smoothed. Begins to crumble after a couple of years of forklifts screwing round on it. £6 approx per 25kg so cheap repair and gives good base for the planings.

Very interesting. Do you recon it could work where there is no exactly a hole but a ledge where the tarmac stops and then goes into a stone lane?

Yes, used it on concrete where bund edge meant forklift bounced and just smoothed the edge. As before get it right first time as it will not stick to itself.
Do a section and leave a square edge between wheel tracks.
What I mean by very fine postcrete is it has no gravel in it and it is that which makes it crumble IMHO.
It gets hot in about 5 mins and sets just after that. Am going to buy more tomorrow so will tell you the exact name.
